#1:- How does the ESIC programme benefit workers?
NAPS was introduced on August 19, 2016. The Indian government’s National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) offers financial assistance to organisations that teach apprentices.

Every industry, including services and manufacturing.
#3:- Under the Act, is apprenticeship training required?
- This is optional for businesses employing between 4 and 29 people.
- Employers with three or fewer employees are not allowed to hire apprentices.
- Apprenticeship programmes must be implemented annually by all establishments with 30 or more workers (regular and contract employees), accounting for 2.5% to 15% of the workforce (including direct contractual employees).
#4:- What are the components of NAPS?
- The Government of India reimburses all employers who hire apprentices for 25% of the apprentice’s authorised stipend, up to a maximum of Rs. 1500 per month.
- Payment of Basic Training Providers (BTPs) for apprentices who come straight for apprenticeship training without any formal training, up to a maximum of 500 hours (i.e., Rs. 15/hour), up to a maximum of Rs. 7500/- from the Government of India.

#6:- What is the basic training duration?
Generally speaking, basic training takes up 20–25% of the total apprenticeship programme period, though this can change based on the particular curriculum requirements.
#7:- Who is an apprentice?
A person who has signed an apprenticeship contract under the Apprentices Act with their employer to receive apprenticeship training is known as an apprentice.
#8:- Who is qualified under the Act to be an apprentice?
An individual can pursue apprenticeship training if they meet the requirements for physical fitness for the course, have completed the minimum educational qualification required for a trade, are at least 14 years old (18 years in the case of hazardous industries as defined by the Apprenticeship Rules), and have at least a fifth-class pass (for an optional trade).
#9:- Is it necessary to register for an apprenticeship contract?
Online registration for contract apprenticeships is mandatory for both designated trades and optional trades.

Depending on its needs, the establishment must employ apprentices at a rate between 2.5% and 15% of its whole workforce, including contract employees. A firm with 100 employees, for example, can hire up to 15 apprentices, with a minimum of 3.
